Dilgo Khyentse Fellowship/ Shechen is dedicated to the preservation and continuation of the Tibetan Buddhist spiritual and cultural heritage. In particular, our emphasis is on the wisdom lineage of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.
Under the guidance of Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche and the Shechen Khenpos, our educational and cultural programs support and educate over 1,000 monks, nuns, and children who receive an authentic education in Buddhist philosophy, sacred arts, and meditation, and secular studies. Our monasteries and nunneries are located in Nepal, India, and Bhutan.
Our work supports the preservation of Tibet’s spiritual lineage through our philosophical colleges and retreat centers. Through the Tsering Art School, we revive authentic Tibetan painting and crafts.

Every morning the students of the Shechen School perform or have show and tell for all the students in the courtyard. One morning the pre K to 2nd grade students sang this tradirional Tibetan song about rabbits and butterflies.

Before he left to Bhutan from Portugal to start the Transmissions of the Rinchen Terdzod, Rabjam Rinpoche sent a message. This will be the first time he is giving this important Nyingma Transmission and he has prepared all year for it. It will be given in Bhutan at the request of lamas in Bhutan in order to continue the lineage of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.

Adorable Little Boys from the Shechen School

The little monks of Shechen Monastery in Nepal attend the Shechen School located on the grounds of the monastery. Every day they go around the main temple (called "korwa" in Tibetan) saying prayers and getting exercise. They are from rural isolated regions of Nepal and are very adorable. Watch them in action! The beautiful Buddhist frescos in the Shechen Monastery Temple in Nepal were destroyed by an earthquake in 2015. They are being repainted by the same master artist and the graduates of the Tsering Art School, thanks to donations from thousands of people across the glove.
